About a week ago, I was at your Queens Boulevard location in NY and saw a “sandals” that I really liked; unfortunately, however, I was only able to find the right foot of the pair. After looking all over the store for the other half of the pair, I went to one of your employees who instructed me to leave my name and number so I could be notified when the other shoe was located-there wasn’t another pair available in your system.

I have called the store two times and was told both times that the shoe has yet to be located.

I am very much interested in this pair of sandals, and I really didn’t think that their was an honest search, since I was on the phone and the person answering the phone could have merely put me on hold for a few minutes and really not take a look.

I decided to physically show up at the store, thinking I would be better served that way-it was a three mile walk.

Once I made it to your store and got the attention on an employee, I explained what my issue was. She walked away for a few minutes and came back and told me that the shoe still has not been found and that I will be called when it is located.

I had observed that the employee who claimed to have been looking for the shoe hand only gone off to another section of the store, and hadn’t made any kind of an effort to locate the shoe at all. I was really disappointed that she would do that in my presence. However, I had suspected that they were doing this when I called.

To further confirm my suspicion, I asked your employee to locate the shoe that I had initially left with my name and number attached to it; and, of course, she could not.

She then told me that they were very busy. They certainly were, but I had taken a seat and told her I was willing to wait.

I left your store without being helped.

The long and short of the story is that I was played by at least three of your employees, and I would have preferred if they had initially told me they could not help me so I could have looked elsewhere for those sandals.

I really find it most interesting that DSW bombards me every day with all kinds of promotions, but provides me with ZERO customer service...or extremely poor...

I am upset enough to share this experience on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
